Working principle of drilling mud cooling equipment
The basic principle of cooling system and fan cooling mud is to use air and mud to directly contact, and take away the heat in the mud through evaporation. The cooling medium is air. Mud cooling system is a special equipment used to cool the high-temperature mud in the well during drilling. It is currently a relatively efficient and safe mud cooling method.
During operation, the sand pump draws mud from the mud tank and discharges it to the cooling tank spray system. Relying on the electric fan on the top, the cold air outside the tank is forced into the tank through the bottom of the tank; the hot mud is evenly distributed to each nozzle by the upper spray system, and the hot mud is sprayed downward onto the packing layer through the nozzle, forming a layer of water film on the packing, and the mud and the cold air entering the tank exchange heat in the packing; the humid hot air is discharged out of the tank by the fan, and the cooled mud enters the water collecting tank for discharge.
